Natural gas is usually highly pressurized as it travels through transport pipelines, and must be brought to the operating conditions for delivery; it must be filtered, the pressure must be reduced, it may be necessary to pre-heat the natural gas to counteract the formation of hydrates. Safety must also be guaranteed, with the installation of protection, control and safety devices.
